Medicare and COVID-19
A: Under Part B of Medicare, diagnostic laboratory testing for COVID-19 is covered. When a physician or other healthcare professional requests a clinical diagnostic laboratory test, Medicare will pay for it and there are no out-of-pocket costs associated to you.
A: Yes, if you have tested positive for Covid-19 Medicare covers monoclonal antibody infusions, used to treat mild to moderate conditions and prevent inpatient hospitalizations.
A: In 2022, Medicare Part A beneficiaries hospitalized for COVID-19 treatment will be subject to the Medicare Part A $1,556 deductible. Extended hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility stays also require Part A daily copayments.
A: All Medicare Advantage plans cover in-network and out-of-network care for medical emergencies. Save money by using in-network providers (outside of emergencies).
A: Original Medicare covers the updated COVID-19 vaccine at no cost to you.
